Switzerland: not just a great lifestyle

With unemployment still among the lowest in Europe and some of the highest salaries in the world, it’s not hard to see why Switzerland has such allure for banking and finance professionals.

The number of non-Swiss workers has increased continuously during the last decade and some 20% of the total population is said to be from overseas. The banking industry is centred mainly in and around Zurich, now a major global financial centre.

Other than leading names such as UBS and Credit Suisse Group, there are a whole host of private banks with outstanding reputations, many of whom enjoy widespread international connections with Germany, Russia, France, Italy and the USA.
